My students come from a variety of backgrounds. My district is characterized by a low socioeconomic status. The amount of exposure they get to different types of activities is crucial. If a student can get an instrument in their hand, the possibilities for creative inspiration are endless! The Ukulele is a great instrument to inspire them because if they are in fact inspired, they will be able to purchase one on their own at a lower cost than a full guitar and continue their exploration.
