My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in a Title 1 school, with an extremely diverse population. Students at our school are traditionally apathetic so it takes a very non-traditional teaching approach to get them engaged and learning. My students thrive in an environment like the one I provide, because they are so busy experiencing real-life applications that challenge and excite them. They are having so much fun that the learning sneaks up on them. At the end of the lesson, they are often shocked that they learned so much!
