Working at a school that has the majority student population economically disadvantaged can have many obstacles. One of the biggest obstacles to over come is access to technology. Many students do not have access to the internet at home, so it makes their technology exposure limited to school. There are may web-based intervention programs for struggling learners. Having chromebooks allows more students to access these programs at school. As the teacher I will be able to use the data from the programs to better prepare small group instruction to meet their academic goals and needs. Chromebooks allow for me to have students complete assessments and easily track where individual students needs are.
