In my classroom, anyone can be an artist. I do my best rid them of the idea that people are born with artistic talent. It's my philosophy that anyone can be an artist and I treat every child that walks through my door as if they are one. They all have the capacity to create and have something to express. If they will give me the time and effort, I can also help them make their art something others will appreciate too. I hope to inspire and help kids understand art's place in the world is not just a museum, but it is personal as well as commercial. How you can understand an artist's view point and how artists help shape society as well as being influenced by it. Art is life.
