My amazing fourth graders are kind and creative. They love to learn and they love to sing. My students come from many different countries and enjoy sharing their cultures with the class. They go to music class two times a week for half an hour each time, but they want and need more opportunities to participate with music. Ukuleles would allow my students to explore and create wonderful music. Our school has about 450 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. We have a diverse student body with over 30 languages spoken and 50% free or reduced lunch. We value our differences, and work hard to build connections. Music is our universal language.
