If my project gets funded, my students would have quality maps, books, posters, and learning materials. With these items they could analyze while they learn about early Native Americans, early explorers, the thirteen colonies, the American Revolution, and much more. Our social studies series is over 8 years old and I am constantly searching for more relevant items to use to engage my students. I teach social studies and science this year to our over eighty 5th graders. We decided to departmentalize so we could be even more intentional in our teaching. Therefore, the materials I am requesting for my students will be used with more than one class but can easily be shared.
