I have a variety of ethnicities in my classroom. These young people train and audition from every socioeconomic background and location around the state of Oklahoma. Some have very little experience and some have studied privately for a long time. Either way they demonstrate enthusiasm and dedication to reach their goals of attending a college or university in the arts or acquire the discipline and academic preparation to achieve highly in their secondary education goals. My focus is the dance program. The students and myself push one another every single day past normal limits. The students are hand selected based on passion, ability, charisma, and technique. Students learn about self-respect and how to be a team player, they are encouraged to be creative and autonomous in their education. This public school is also in need of supplies to support these young professionals!
