This innovative technology will provide many new opportunities for our students in the math classroom. An interactive projector will provide accommodations for students with visual impairments, address presentation skills for students of all confidence levels, and create assignments that are more challenging and engaging for all. Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding in many different ways, but will also be able to practice their presentation skills that they will need in the competitive post-high school job market. A responsive digital display will encourage students to explore the limits of their creativity with interactive presentations, peer-to-peer teaching strategies, and manipulation of large-scale text. In a content that is often described as rote and repetitive, this interactive projector will help students explore and experiment with the math content. When students can compare and contrast different methods to solving problems, and then identify, explain and present how and why one method is more effective, they gain a deeper understanding for the content while simultaneously appreciating the thought processes throughout their educational and professional careers.
