These books will help my students throughout the entire school year in the areas of math and literacy! I want to make sure that my students are able to understand how math is used daily in the world around them. Students can go on a journey into the real world of math without stepping outside of the classroom. I love to use picture books in our math classroom. Students become really engaged and interested when I introduce new concepts with a fun or exciting story. A great book is a fantastic hook for a new math lesson. All of the books are then available for students to read individually if they wish. The journeys through these books allow students to see that both math and reading can be fun and exciting. Real world applications become a regular part of class discussion and students are better able to explain the real world connections on their own. Please consider donating to help my students become more successful readers and mathematicians!
