The books I chose will excite my students' appetites for reading and learning while other books will give them a sense of who they are and who their ancestors were. They will get an opportunity to visualize the lives of these characters as they read their intriguing life stories. We will do a guided reading as well as class studies with these particular books. My students' appetites for learning will be pushed to new heights through these books. Their excitement will be enhanced through literature as only books can do! Research indicates that students reading levels are the best indicator for their academic success in life when they become adults. Therefore, I like to bring high-interest reading to my students whenever possible to help ignite a love and desire to read.

About my class
