My school is located in a high poverty area. Currently 98% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Student struggle to get to school because of transportation issues, they struggle to have warm clothing, and often get sick. They come into school sluggish and hungry, from a lack of proper rest. Many parents have their own health issues, some are dying young. Many are being raised by grandparents who are on fixed incomes.
