My students are just beginning to build their identities as readers. It is exciting to see them falling in love with the printed word and the illustrations that accompany most of their stories. They are building great reading stamina through the Reading Workshop structure and are requesting more books as they begin to develop unique interests. As a community of learners, we love to read about the adventures of "Fly Guy" as he too is just learning phonics!
