Our school is a Title One urban school with a diverse student population. Our class is freshman algebra. Many of my students participate in the Free or Reduced Lunch Program. Our classroom promotes the growth mindset philosophy. We don't limit ourselves with a fixed mindset attitude. Students are encouraged to overcome negative experiences and messages they have had in math in the past and move forward to growth; to take risks. Donors Choose and its many generous donors have helped our classroom gain many resources. They range from classroom notebooks to scanners to Chromebooks. Our classroom is an Algebra 1 Blended Learning Environment which means that we use technology to help achieve the algebra standards required. We don't rely entirely on technology. We learn through hands on learning along with practice exercises. We maintain a balance to help students build confidence in math Thank you for your support
