The students have spent quite a bit of time learning to code using websites like code.org and Scratch. They are ready to take their coding skills and apply them to a real world setting. The one thing they are asking for is more hands on items to achieve this goal. We are requesting robots like Botley, Robot Mouse, Edison Robot, and littleBits Coding to take coding to the next level. These will provide students with multiple challenges and prepare them for their futures. Your donations will enable our students obtain programmable robots and bring their coding skills to life. Code and Go Robot Mouse, Botley The Coding Robot, Edison V2.0 Robots, and littleBits Arduino Coding Kit will do just that. The students will use all of these items to write or drag and drop codes to solve problems while having fun coding robots. It might be a simple mouse to code through a maze or a robot that is coded to open and close doors. The Edison V 2.0 Robot can be programed to talk, complete math problems, or pose questions for others to solve. If the students can think it, they can program it. These robots will provide endless opportunities for all 300 students at Bicentennial. All donations to this project will directly support our efforts to give the children of Coal Valley the best education possible. This grant is an investment in all of our futures.
