Appropriate social communication with others is critical to success at school and in the community. Many of the students that I work with have challenges in this area. This can include challenges with reciprocal communication, understanding body language, understanding social situations, and using appropriate language in certain situations. I would like to help students improve their social communication using entertaining materials that explicitly teach the skills they need to be successful. I'm requesting a Game Life Skills for Nonreaders: Behavior set and a Didax Educational Resources Socially Speaking Game. Improved social interaction will allow my students to have positive experiences in school and with peers. In addition, this will lead to positive interactions with teachers which should lead to success in school.
