Teaching in a small school means that you supply a hands-on experience, but this is impossible with shortages of supplies. In this environment, I teach grades 7-12, but mainly 11th grade mathematics. Yet, all of my classes use calculators. This is an issue, however, since the number of calculators we obtain does not meet the number of students we have. We are in a very small, rural poor school district.
