I serve as the math interventionist at Ruffner Elementary, a wonderfully diverse elementary school in Charleston, WV. I spend my days working with small groups of students who benefit from additional support outside of their regular math class and also get to spend time in classrooms doing activities to promote number sense and other big ideas about math. I believe that all students can love math and I make it my mission to provide lots of opportunities for all of our students to experience math in exciting and meaningful ways. I am also our school technologist and love learning about and sharing all of the cool new ways that technology can engage our students, allow them to work at their own personal levels, and provide really neat ways for them to gather and present information. I have the best job in the world!
