I have twenty-two students in my full-day Kindergarten classroom. I have ten boys and twelve girls. Most of my students know their letters and sounds at this time of the year. We are now reading about forty-five sight words! They are excited to be able to sound out CVC words when reading and writing. There are seven Kindergarten classes in our school of approximately 713 students including K-4 grades. We have a very diverse population and we receive Title One funding. We are able to offer an Early Education program before school starts each day, which three of my students attend. Our school has several ESL students (English as a Second Language). Our school earned an "A" letter grade from the state.
