Every day students participate in a 45-minute universal access block. During this time, students move to two 20-minute stations while I work with a small group of students who are at similiar academic levels. Throughout the week, children rotate between five groups which include teacher time, a writing station, Raz-Kids, a spelling station, and Daily 5. Daily 5 is a program which allows students to read silently or with a partner. The flexible chairs will be used during Daily 5 so that students have a comfortable place to read. Flexible seating provides an opportunity for the kids to get in their best mind set as they read and comprehend.
