My students are in the 5th grade at Watkins-Nance Elementary School in Columbia, SC. This is an inner city public school; most of our students are on free or reduced lunch and live in less than sufficient housing conditions. However, when they get into my room I provide them with the cleanest, safest, and most comfortable reading environment. Our 5th grade team name is "College Bound High Achievers" and we know that in order to get to college we must read everyday!
