We need your help! Please donate to our Salad Science project so our first graders can have the hands-on experience of growing their own food. Our school is in its sixth year of being a "Green School", but we need your support to continue offering the quality programming that we worked so hard to establish. As a gardener and educator, my hearts aches when I look out my office window into our empty courtyard garden. I see all of the potential for experiential education, connecting students with the natural environment, the community around them, and with themselves through projects like Salad Science. I wrote gardening curriculum for K - 6 when I lived in Arizona, so I see this project as one of many steps we can take to make the curriculum come alive for our students. This project means so much to our staff and students.Thank you, in advance, for your support!
