In th 2015-2016 school year, I have been given the amazing opportunity to be a reading and math intervention teacher for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students. The students I will be reaching come from a wide range of backgrounds from first generation immigrants to native English speakers and from those on Individualized Education Plans to those who just need extra time and support.. My goal is to show students that they have ability to achieve their goals and know that they are capable of reaching for the stars and beyond. My school is locate in a middle class neighborhood. It has about 34% of its students receiving free or reduced lunches and many families receiving support through our Backpack for Hunger program. Our school have an amazing set of educators and support staff that constantly go above and beyond to help their students be the best they can be.
