We are a new school that was just formed this year. We are a K-5 school in a building that was built in the 1950"s. Our students come from different schools around our community and are learning how to understand each other. We are from different cultures and religions but we all share a love for learning. Our goal is to honor our differences and learn from each other by creating learning communities for reading, writing,mathematics, and science. Due to our differences, having iPads would allow me to provide practice as well as exploration using programs such as Mobymax and Kenkens in mathematics. In reading I can use the iPads to create shared learning experiences using videos to show concepts that our students have not experienced. My style is to have a shared learning experience for 20 minutes, then small group interaction, and debriefing. The four iPads would greatly help with small group activities.
