Grace Warner is, in general, a lower income school. Most of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We have many students that live in the hotels in the 4th street corridor. My students really seem to love music and just want someone to believe in them. They often struggle and need extra help both academically and socially. Our school is focused on giving students the skills necessary to be successful in every aspect of life not just school. We see a desperate need in our students to develop good social emotional skills and have been working to improve their ability to work both independently and cooperative. To help them have better self awareness and awareness of others. Also, we want them to realize they are an important part of the community and have much to contribute to others. Our school is a place where are students can feel safe and like they belong.
