My students love to bounce, wiggle, shake, rock & roll all while learning!They love to get active and focus on learning. It is astounding to see how much better they work in a position that is comfortable to them and allows for movement. This project would help to grow our coveted classroom collection from 2 yoga balls to 6 rocking seats, 8 yoga balls, and 6 wobble stools! All students could find a position that maximized their physical needs and allowed them to focus on their learning goals. For some students that means a bouncy seat at a table, for others it means a wobble stool, others like the idea of a rocking seat and a clipboard. These options will allow them to actively move throughout the day, keeping their bodies and minds actively engaged. My students look forward to growing their gross motor while also growing dendrites! All students will get to use these materials throughout our 6 hour school day.
