Utilizing these books will increase students' vocabulary. As ESOL student acquire English as a second language, they will be able to understand the content vocabulary and academic language. For instance, when students need a reference for a project or task, they are able to use these books as resources to cite evidence for their work. Students will have a print-rich classroom that helps second language learners learn new vocabulary. It will also help them as they write and practice their speaking when working in collaborative groups. This will help build their self-confidence.
