Hello and welcome to Room 116! Inside our colorful, cozy classroom, learning is something that does not come naturally to all of my students. However, as a class we have made great strides since September with our motivation and behavioral skills. I feel that using a hands-on approach while incorporating differentiated instructional techniques is the best way to reach each student of the diverse population of 28 students that I teach throughout the day. My Language Arts class has a new found appreciation for reading and its importance as an essential life skill. My Math class has wonder and the desire to be challenged daily. My Social Studies and Science classes are always able to launch discussions that are thought provoking, engaging, and that increase students’ curiosity for topics beyond the test.
