Each week, my AVID Students collaborate in weekly tutorial sessions in which they work together to solve academic problems posed in their core classes. During the tutorial sessions, my students sit in collaborative teams and use whiteboards to show their critical thinking process and steps. Currently, my students use small, handheld whiteboards to assist with this process, however larger portable whiteboards would provide them with more room to show their entire critical thinking process. Larger whiteboards will make the weekly tutorial sessions even more accessible and engaging than they already are. My students will greatly appreciate this as it will help them to take their weekly tutorials to the next level.
