At our elementary school, most students can't afford after-school classes to learn sports, so my class will be their only chance to experience basketball and flag football. We are a very diverse school. While some of our families may have the means for classes and camps, most don't. And these kids need an outlet for their abundant energy. Obesity is unfortunately a common challenge for students of low-income families. I want to give them a chance to develop a passion for athletics. They're yearning to try the sports they see on TV.

About my class
