My 3rd grade students are eager to learn; they are ready with open minds. Our school is located in a predominately low-income area; however, we excel each year because of the way we engage our students. The teachers and students strive for excellence no matter what their circumstances. As a teacher I encourage my students to be the best they can be in all areas daily. I won't settle for anything less than their best. When we as educators expect their best, the students are eager to please.
