My classroom is a vibrant place, it is a noisy place. Everyday I work with other dedicated professionals to inspire a group of 20 students, with special needs, in 2nd and 3rd grade. There is always a danger in a large school that struggling students will get left behind, or that essential skills will be skipped over due to a lack of resources. In our room we ensure that all of our students are learning and practicing comprehension strategies, despite their reading ability. In order to do this we need high interest, quality non-fiction texts at their reading level.
