I work with a population of students in which some don't know if they will eat that night. There is very little chance they are sitting around the dinner table discussing world events. My students need access to a world-class magazine so I may help them make sense of the world around them for the short time I have them in my care. In addition, we have very little resources to give them so they may read non-fiction and strengthen their reading skills so they can compete in society as they grow up. These magazines will help them achieve a level of success in reading so they may go on to be successful in future endeavors.

About my class
