The kids are identified academically-gifted students from various schools. They are creative and very good at analyzing, finding similarities and have learned the art of discourse this year. We want to keep them creating products, but are stretched for supplies, since we are not the students with the low potential that need the supplemental materials to reach grade level. After a few design projects every month, as a teacher, I have funded what I could for the supplies used in creating mazes, doing a zip-line, Operation Toy drop parachutes to deliver gifts, and creating new holidays, complete with rationale/food selections/costumes. The most fun , by kids vote, were the Pumpkin Chunkin' with pumpkin flavored marshmallows, craft sticks, rulers, and the straw boats that held many coins. The "Lighting up your World" project I'm proposing involves application of electrical know-how plus design and making circuit and art components fit together.
