Ourstudents are so diverse given the city we live in; Washington DC! They come from so many different backgrounds and cultures and they all just want to be accepted and cared for and feel safe. They like to talk, so weshow them how they can talk with one another about life and what's important to them in Spanish! They want to do well in school and they have dreams and hopes for their future but sometimes don't know what they have to do to get there, or they're afraid they might not succeed. They have a lot of energy; they're individuals with their own ideas and opinions and they want people to see them and hear what they have to say. They're talented in so many different ways and they want people to know what they're good at and to see them in action. They're people with an ability to serve their community in a meaningful way, they just need guidance and people to personally invite them to do that and to encourage.

About my class
