My 6th grade students are very eclectic. They come from many different cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles. Most of my students are below grade level. In reading, they are anywhere between Kindergarten level to fifth grade. The school in which I teach at is a Title 1 school that is rich in ethnic and cultural diversity. I am very dedicated to incorporating all subjects to my students, including the arts. My students are lucky enough to be taught science, dance, music, physical education, life skills, and library skills. All of these areas are taught by separate teachers. I strive to make learning as fun and as meaningful as possible to the students. My main goal, is to get my students to enjoy reading and reading more so they can become better readers. If they can read well, they can be successful in all areas of the classroom and in life!
