My students come from all different backgrounds: some require additional support to attain grade level mastery, while others are performing well above the standards. One thing they all have in common when they step through my door is curiosity. The school I work in services students from all around the NYC area. As public school, our students come from different socio-economic backgrounds. Some students have a rich experience at home, and are exposed to different things, while others can only rely on school to enrich their lives. I service students who are Gifted and Talented, students with special learning accommodations, and ELL's. No matter what their story, our school's mission is to first focus on each individual child as a person, and a scholar. We focus on the needs of individual children, and strive hard to create a learning environment that meets those needs.
