TK, or Transitional Kindergarten, is like a pre-kindergarten for 4 year olds. They love to learn visually, but navigating a computer is a bit hard for many of them. They love many on-line resources like "Go-Noodle", You-tube videos of "Zoophonics" and a lot of our curriculum has exciting videos you can only access on-line. Currently, my 15 students crowd around a projected image or small monitor that is difficult to see. If they had a classroom sized monitor, each student would be able to see every detail, and they could do it without our having to make the room dark! With more and more learning resources moving to computers having a class sized monitor would truly bring my classroom into the digital age.
