My school is very diverse. I have a large number of minority students who come from single parent, low income households. Some of my students have not been outside of the city limits in which they live during their lifetimes. My school is really trying to reach these students through building relationships with those students. Students who are encouraged and feel connected to their school are more likely to succeed, and that is what my school hopes to do.
