Our classroom's multicultural project will help my students to have a unique experience learning about different cultures around the world. Particularly how other countries and their cultures celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas. The resources requested in this project will assist students to travel beyond their imaginations and through the use of resources being requested.The construction paper, glue sticks, markers, and scissors will be used to create their interactive booklets where they will be recording, summarizing, and illustrating the ways other cultures celebrate this holiday around the world. These same booklets will be shared with their families, friends, and peers in the classroom to foster collaboration and increase their learning. The ink and cardstock will assist to publish students' writings and to be able to print out colorful resources that will enhance their visual comprehension. Furthermore, cardstock, laminating pouches, and sheet protectors are a classroom favorite because it makes resources to be long lasting that can be used and reused. The sharpies, markers, glue sticks, and scissors will be used in cooperative groups for students to create anchor charts to display and share their learnings from their readings and discussions and compare and contrast the celebration of Christmas around the world. Additionally, the wireless PA system will serve as the means to share in the collaboration process and increase students' public speaking skills.
