I will introduce the feathers, as a visual tool, to enhance breath work. I find this method is effective in many different diverse age groups. It is inclusive to all, no right or wrong. Each child is able to be successful within the participation of the activity. They learn to listen to their bodies, by learning how to control their breath. Let's Giggle with a Wiggle-Waggle Fish! Wiggle-Waggle, what is it to hold you still? What is it like to move and groove? Can you reach it above, can you pass it below, hold on tight, the Wiggle-Waggle won't let you go! This activity encourages working together, giving and receiving of the Wiggle-Waggle fish at the same time, cooperating with peers, and learning spatial words such as up, down, below, left, right, around and under. The bubble timers will help the children pace themselves as well as enabling them to focus in a fun way while doing an activity. The child settles in, maintains attention to the flow of the bubbles. While watching they are learning how to breathe in and out. This helps the child with reading, attending, focusing, slowing down, centering themselves, tracking a story in a book or being able to track a sentence on the board.
