My early childhood students enjoy a Montessori education at a magnet school where the goal is to develop the whole child. They are free to move throughout the classroom, independently choosing their own work and hands-on activities which have been thoughtfully prepared for the environment. Activities are designed to develop independence, coordination of fine motor and gross motor movements, as well as cognitive skills. Students have the freedom and privilege to work alone, in partners or with a small or large group each day. Students can work on the floor, at a table, at an easel, in the classroom or in the hall. My students are 3- 6 years old and can be antsy and wiggly by nature! Let's face it, children need to MOVE!!
