My students are comprised of English Language Learners who struggle to succeed in their classes because of a limit to the dictionaries they need to access knowledge for themselves. They need to express their ideas in more than just words. Half of my students are just learning English and for some it is their third, fourth, or fifth language. For some, there was no formal schooling before moving to the United States and they now have to perform scholastically on level with their school age peers. Some are fighting to keep their heads above water in their classes. There is plenty of teacher and administrator support for the kids.
