"We shouldn't teach great books; we should teach a love of reading" -B.F. Skinner. I teach 5th grade to an outstanding group of students who share a passion for reading and a love of learning. I have 15 growing 5th graders who struggle to fit on my rug during reading time, yet are stubborn enough each day to make it work. I am fortunate enough that their dedication and eagerness to read has allowed them to ignore the small and worn rug and continue to enjoy the library corner.
