In the summer I teach entrepreneur education to high school and junior high students. Entrepreneurship is extremely critical in Louisiana because we have been hit hard in recent years by extreme natural disasters. Mom and Pop businesses are critical to our local economy. The materials I have requested will help me teach the students the parts of the business plan as well as allow me to guide them through the writing process as each student writes their personal business plan. I want to be able to demonstrate to the students what their description of the business, as well as other parts of the business plan, should resemble using pictures projected from the Elmo as an example. The Elmo would allow the students to examine products as we determine what is a "GO" and what is a "NO".The end result will be a completed business plan for each participant suitable to take to a lender for start-up money.
