My students come to school each day with a smile on their face and a positive attitude. Many students in my class, as well as others students, come from families that have often experienced divorce, have single-parents, and even live in foster care. Regardless of these circumstances, our children strive to better themselves each day. Our school has grades K-6. We are a Title I school and 80% of our students are considered to be "high-poverty". In recent years our funding from the state has severely declined. Our school district simply does not have the funding it needs in order to serve '21st century learners'.
