I have a very bright and highly motivated group of second grade students who are learning to read and write Spanish and English in a Dual Language Program. I teach a racially and ethnically diverse group of students at a Title 1 elementary school in Los Angeles. The majority of the students at our school are economically disadvantaged. Many of my students do not have the technological resources needed at home. Despite their hardships they come to school with a smile on their face and an eagerness to learn a second language!
