I am a special education teacher at Zapata Academy in Chicago, IL. I work with Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in my special education resource classroom. The students I work with have a range of ability levels. We strive on routine in my classroom, but no day is the same as the next. My students keep me and my paraprofessionals on our toes, but they bring us so much joy. All of our students come from low-income households to they don't always get "new" materials or supplies.
