Welcome to the DonorsChoose.org page for Tom Walker and the Hazen Health Sciences Program. Hazen Health Sciences offers students an opportunity to explore health careers, learn foundation level health science content and receive pre-baccalaureate education in the specific field of sports medicine. Specific courses include: Health Science Career Exploration, Anatomy & Physiology, Components of Exercise, Science of Exercise, Introduction to Sports Medicine, Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Athletic Injury Recognition, and Athletic Rehab & Prevention. The scientific foundations of anatomy and physiology are an integral portion of every class in the program, even those that are not eligible for science credit. We also constantly explore the career interests and needs of the students to look for ways to offer pertinent career connections and are currently exploring a future offering in emergency medicine.
