Kindergarten is a time where students need to learn to practice social skills, and working cooperatively. My students are highly engaged in their learning stations and do not realize they are actually becoming stronger in the skills they have been taught. The materials will make them work together, work as a group and allow them to challenge each other. The stations also give those students who struggle an opportunity to be taught by their peers and our stations are differentiated to where all students can work at their level independently if needed to. This also allows me to pull small groups while they are at stations to further teach them concepts of reading.
