The K'Nex will allow me to pose a challenge problem, ie, build a tablet or phone stand, and let them create. The wrap-up might be a 'shark tank' style sales pitch and a debriefing on what worked or what changes could be made. Hands-on experiences that give them an opportunity to work hands and minds. Enjoyment is a key part of the K'Nex challenges. The K'Nex projects will reinforce and introduce topics to paired students, pairs insures that each student contributes. But pairs also means that we need lots of product! The Cubelets are a fun intro to robotics. Again, I'd pose a situation, ie., draw a map of our town and get the robot to move from one place to another using a variety of commands
